Velvet Sky

Jamie Szantyr ( born June 2, 1981 in New Britain, Connecticut ), primarily known by her ring name Velvet Sky, is an American professional wrestler, which stands for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under contract.

Career

Beginnings / Independent

In high school, practiced Szantyr numerous Sportarte from, such as Softball, mountain biking and athletics and was active as a cheerleader. Szantyr graduated in Jason Knight's " House of Pain Pro Wrestling Dojo " a wrestling training. After they had completed the training there, she began working at various independent promotions under the ring name Talia Doll and Talia Madison as a valet and wrestler. She founded together with April Hunter the tag team T & A. On 29 May 2004 Szantyr won their first title, the WXW Women's Title.

In the years 2005 and 2006 Szantyr had several appearances with WWE. In 2007 she participated in the Diva Search, a talent search for female wrestlers in the WWE, in part, however, was not among the final eight candidates.

As Talia Madison, she won on 8 April 2006 the Defiant Pro Wrestling Women's Title in a Three Way match against Alere Little Feather and Nikki Roxx .. She also worked at Women's Extreme Wrestling ( WEW ) as Talia Doll, where she and April Hunter as tag team T & A on 8 April 2006 the WEW Tag Team Championship won. On May 5, 2007 Szantyr won the WEW World Women's title against Angel Orsini.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

When Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA ) in 2007 announced the formation of a women's section, Szantyr was under the ring name Talia Madison one of the participants of the 10 Knockouts Gauntlet matches, in which the first TNA Women's Champion was crowned. The match won Gail Kim.

With Angelina Love Soon after, she founded the wrestling group TVelvet -Love Entertainment, which was later changed to the wrestling Table The Beautiful People. Together, the two wrestlers were a permanent fixture of TNA.

At Lockdown 2008 Szantyr took part in the first Queen of the Cage Match, which was won by Roxxi Laveaux, however. After 2008, the Make Over Battle Royal -Ladder match lost against Gail Kim at Sacrifice, Sky and Love attacked then on humiliation of their opponents, such as the slipping over a painted paper bag over the head or cutting the hair back, which quickly a hallmark of the Beautiful People were.

On 17 July 2008 Szantyr won a Knockout Battle Royal match, becoming the first challenger for the title of the Women's Knockout Championship. She lost the title match a week later, as well as two more title matches soon against Taylor Wilde.

At Bound for Glory on October 16, 2011, she won for the first time TNA Women's Knockout Championship in a match against the current title holder Winter, Madison Rayne and Mickie James. November 13, 2011 at Turning Point Szantyr lost the title to Gail Kim.

On 26 July 2012 she left TNA because her contract expired and was not renewed. In November 2012 Szantyr signed a new contract with TNA and returned to the shows on December 6, 2012. The Impact Wrestling records on 26 January 2013, it won for the second time TNA Women's Knockout Championship. She had to leave to Mickie James the title on 23 May 2013.
