Venediktos Printesis

Venedictos Printesis (Greek Βενέδικτος Πρίντεζης Venediktos Prindezis, born February 10, 1917 in Manna, now part of Syros, Greece, † 21 October 2008) was Roman Catholic bishop of the Archdiocese of Athens.

Life

Venedictos Printesis received on 23 March 1940, the ordination. He received his episcopal consecration on 21 June 1959, the Archbishop of Naxos - Tinos Joannis Baptist Filippucci.

Pope John XXIII. appointed him in 1959 as Archbishop of Athens. As archbishop of Athens, he was also an administrator for the Archdiocese of Rhodes.

He was from 1959 to 1962 for ordering Antónios Varthalitis AA Administrator of the Archdiocese of Corfu and 1959-1969 Administrator of the Apostolic Vicariate of Thessaloniki.

His resignation was founded in 1972 by Pope Paul VI. granted. Venedictos Printesis was until his death a member of the Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Church in Greece.
