Venezuela national rugby union team
The Venezuelan rugby union team represents Venezuela in the Rugby Union. The team is classified as a national of the third category by the International Rugby Board (IRB ).
History
Only in 1998 joined the Venezuelan Association of the International Rugby Board. The first international match they lost narrowly to the selection of Trinidad and Tobago with 26:23.
Despite two participations in the qualification for the Rugby Union World Cup in 2003 and 2007 so far failed to qualify for the final tournament to be. The team failed each in the first qualifying round of Brazil.
