Vennesla is a commune in southern Norway.

It is located about 17 km north of the city of Kristiansand in Vest-Agder county, Norway. Vennesla is historically a small industrial town. Main employer was the paper industry, in particular the work of Hunsfos Fabrikker, which went bankrupt in 2011. The company Huntonit AS (part of the Byggma group), formerly Norsk Wallboard AS continues to provide a high quality and wide range of wood products for the construction industry (eg, wet room panels, lighting, countertops, floors, wooden beams, MDF, etc.). In addition to the woodworking industry the company Reber Schindler Heis AS is a major employer in Vennesla. Here, various types of elevator, escalators and baggage carousels are developed, produced and distributed worldwide.
