History

Veolia Environnement is clear from the founding in 1853 of water supply company Compagnie Générale des Eaux ( CGE). The CGE took over the course of time many z.T. small businesses, and was also active in other industries. In 1998, CGE in the name of Vivendi, a French subsidiary only kept the company name Compagnie Générale des Eaux. 2002 reduced its holdings to Vivendi Vivendi Environnement, which was renamed as an independent company Veolia Environnement. Water supply and sanitation in France

The division of the company was oriented to the creation on 14 December 1853, the water supply for the cities of Paris and Lyon. Transport and Traffic
