Vera-Ellen

Vera -Ellen ( born February 16, 1921 in Norwood, Ohio as Vera -Ellen Meyer West Raw, † August 30 1981 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actress.

Life

From the age of ten, she received training as a dance at the Hessler Dancing School and Serova School of Dancing in New York. She next starred in classic stages such as in nightclubs and music halls. In 1939, she debuted on Broadway. Then they celebrated a number of successes in musicals and revues, such as By Jupiter.

In 1944 she got the Hollywood mogul Samuel Goldwyn for the film and gave her one of the two main roles in the Danny Kaye vehicle The Miracle Man.
