Verðandi

Verdandi ( nordic for becoming ) is next to Skuld and Urd one of the three Norns, the goddesses of fate in Norse mythology. It represents in this Trinity the present. " Fate " has the same Anglo-Saxon the word Wyrd and is similar to the Greek Moirae or the Roman Parcae. This Norne occurs only in the Völuspá and there is no tradition in the myth, which is why suspects that it is an invention of the poet.
