Verband deutscher Pfandbriefbanken

The Association of German Pfandbrief Banks ( vdp ) represents the interests of the Pfandbrief banks in the Federal Republic of Germany. He has the legal form of a registered association.

Tasks

The purpose of the Association is to foster the common vocational tasks:

  • The exercise of the rights and interests of the Pfandbrief banks including public relations in the areas of capital market, government, real estate and ship financing, tax policy and the rule of design.
  • The support and advice of the legislative bodies and public authorities at national, European and international level in all matters relating to the mortgage banks.
  • Representing the interests of the Pfandbrief banks over other national, European and international professional associations.
  • Membership in national, European or international professional associations or participation in companies of any form of society, as far as membership or participation serve the purpose association or the members of the association.

The association currently represents 37 Pfandbrief banks. The Association of German Pfandbrief Banks is a member of the following associations and other institutions:

  • The German banking industry (DK)
  • European Mortgage Federation, Brussels
  • International Union of Housing Finance, Chicago
  • Federal Working Group real estate industry Germany (BID ), Berlin
  • ZIA Property Committee, Berlin
  • German Association for Housing, Berlin
  • Commercial Mortgage Securities Association ( CMSA ), New York

The Association of German Pfandbrief Banks is a partner in the vdp Research GmbH ( vdpResearch ), the vdp Pfandbrief Akademie GmbH, the Hyp Real Estate Rating Services GmbH ( HypRating ) and the Hyp - Cert Society for the certification of valuers for mortgage valuations mbH ( HypZert ), all of Berlin.

The association changed its name to July 2005 as the Association of German Mortgage Banks ( VDH).

The Chief Executive is the vdp's Jens Tolckmitt. President of the vdp is Jan Bettink, CEO of Berlin Hyp AG, Berlin.
