The station Verden (Aller ) is a separation station and former junction station of the railway station Category 3 on the railway Bremen -Hannover and at the Weser -Aller -Bahn from Minden to Rotenburg. It is located near the center of the Lower Saxon district town of Verden ( Aller).

History

The station was opened in 1847 at the track Wunstorf -Bremen. Between 1903 and 1905 the Allertalbahn after Schwarmstedt and 1911 the Verden - Walsrode railway was opened. In 1928 the connection to Rotenburg in Hannover added (now Rotenburg ( Wümme) ). A connection of the near- America line never materialized. The station was fought in the Second World War as the entire rail systems around between retreating Wehrmacht units and the advancing British army. 1966 Allertalbahn for passenger was shut down, the Verden - Walsrode railway, which was not consistently passable since 1936, followed in 1969. During this, however, operated sporadically in freight transport, the Allertalbahn 1995 was completely shut down and subsequently degraded.

In the 1980s, the railway station located at both ends beschrankten crossings were canceled. The Verden station remained fast, and later inter-regional and inter-city last stop.

Plant

The scale in the north -south railway station has a main platform at the westerly entrance building and two island platforms, the first of which is covered. Track 3 is the terminus of Line 1 of the Regio -S -Bahn from Bremen- Farge, while run on track 4 trains of the Weser -Aller -Bahn from Nienburg to Rotenburg (Wümme ). Track 5 is the starting point for the heritage railway trains on the Verden - Walsrode railway to caulking.
