Verduzzo

The white grape verduzzo Friulano is an indigenous grape of northern Italy and a classic sort of Friuli. Their cultivation is in the provinces of Treviso, Venice (both in Veneto ), Gorizia, Pordenone, Udine ( Friuli- Venezia Giulia ) is recommended. Approved it is also in some provinces of Sardinia. In 1999, an area under vines of 1,797 hectares was charged.

The late-ripening variety is growing strong and profitable vigorously. The varietal white wines are straw-yellow to golden- yellow in color and have a high alcohol content. Both dry and sweet wines are created from it, the much better qualities can be found in the sweet variant. The wine is a varietal or blended input into the DOC wines eastern hills of Friuli, Friuli Annia, Friuli Aquileia, Friuli Grave, Friuli Isonzo and Friuli Latisana.
