Verhees D-Plane 1
The D- Plane 1 is developed in Belgium by Bart Verhees Delta Wing Aircraft Class Ultralight. The machine is designed for Amateurbau.
Description
The D- Plane 1 is a cantilever mid-wing monoplane with a single-seat enclosed cockpit. The fuselage and the wing are made of aluminum tubing and aluminum sheet ( Aerospace Aluminum ) made . The span is 4.5 meters and has a wing area of 10 m². The D-1 has a retractable nose wheel and a motor with a tractor propeller.
The first flight of the prototype took place in 2004. In the first flight available to the D- 1 through a Subaru EA -71 four-cylinder four -stroke engine with 1.6 liter displacement and 50 hp ( 37 kW).
The test pilot Captain Peter Kuypers conducted with the D -1 Features: F- PDHV, on 6 May 2010, a detailed test flight through the entire flight characteristics of the aircraft were recorded.
