Verigy

The Verigy Ltd. was a manufacturer of test systems for semiconductor devices with headquarters in Singapore. The German company's headquarters was located in Boeblingen. There were also larger offices in USA and China. On July 4, 2011, all shares were acquired by Advantest Corporation.

History

Verigy, established in 2006 as a spin -off from the business SOC (or IC) testers from Agilent Technologies. Agilent Technologies was established again in 1999 as a spin-off from the Test and Measurement Division ( the original core business) of Hewlett -Packard.

The end of 2010, it was announced that Verigy and LTX- Credence are planning to merge. Advantest Corporation Shortly afterwards expressed interest to take over Verigy. The Board decided to accept the offer. The shares of Verigy went to the 4th July 2011 at Advantest and were then no longer traded. Since April 1, 2012 Verigy is completely fused with the Advantest Corporation.

The merger of the German branch, the Verigy Germany GmbH, with the Advantest Europe GmbH was already on 12 March 2012 with the entry in the commercial register of Munich instead.

The original division at HP, with the semiconductor testers engaged ( BID = Böblingen Instruments Division ) has already begun in the eighties from the interconnection of individual laboratory instruments together automatically operating semiconductor test systems.
