Background information

In 1995, there was no real preliminary decision, the music group Stone & Stone was selected instead. Glen Stone had already in 1989, the song Wonderland for the singer Canan Brown composed, which had occupied the 5th place in the preliminary of the year in 1989 with 2,570 points. In 1993 the duo Stone & Stone celebrate a minor success with the song I Wish You Were Here. For Stone & Stone, this title was the first German -language title of her career.

Euro Vision Song Contest result and its consequences

The song reached the 23th and last place in the Euro Vision Song Contest and was able to get only one point from Malta. The consequence of this result was that the music group Stone & Stone disbanded. Subsequently, the German contribution of Blue Planet by singer Leon could not qualify for the finals of the Euro Vision Song Contest 1996.
