Vermin

When pests are referred to smaller animals which are undesirable in general. Here, the term is often transferred as a synonym for pests or animals which diseases or appear to man a nuisance (see nuisance ) used. In colloquial language are often animals that are harmless and dangerous, but fear or disgust provoking, referred to as vermin.

Similar to cabbage and weed the term originated as a counterpart to vermin vermin. Thus, animals were meant which are suitable for a victim.
