Vermont Valley Railroad

The Vermont Valley Railroad ( VVR ) is a former railway company in Vermont (United States). It existed as an independent company of 1848 until 1949.

History

1843 founded the Brattleboro and Fitchburg Railroad and was planning to build a railway extension of the Fitchburg Railroad to Brattleboro on the Connecticut River. 1846, the Sullivan Railroad was established, which wanted to build a track in the valley of the Connecticut River from Bellows Falls to the north.
