Vern Poore

Vern Poore (* 20th century ) is an American sound engineer. He was an Oscar for "Best sound mixing " award for the biopic Bird about the jazz musician Charlie Parker in 1989.

Poore worked 1975-1996 with at over 72 films and was nominated four more times for an Oscar. His first work he delivered in 1975 for the TV movie lover hostage (Sweet Hostage ), where he was responsible for the final sound mixing with other colleagues. The award-winning drama film Taxi Driver (1976 ) was the next film on the list. In 1984 he participated in the science fiction fantasy comedy Ghostbusters - Ghostbusters with and 1987 on the action film Lethal Weapon - Lethal Weapon. Even with Clint Eastwood's late Western Unforgiven (1992 ), he was part of the film crew. Poores last unlisted film is the 1995 released film drama The whimsical Mr. Cox.
