Vernio
Vernio is a town with 6010 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Prato, Tuscany region.
Geography
The community area is 63.3 km ² and the population density amounts to 94 inhabitants per km ². In the northern municipality west of the hamlet of Monte Piano springs from the river Setta. The river Bisenzio spends 6 km in the municipality.
Vernio borders the following municipalities: Barberino di Mugello ( FI), Camugnano (BO), Cantagallo, Castiglione dei Pepoli (BO).
Demography
Vernio has about 2,470 households. Between 1991 and 2001 the population increased from 5,464 to 5,535 on. This represents a percentage increase of 1.3%.
