Vernou-la-Celle-sur-Seine
Vernou -la- Celle- sur -Seine is a commune with 2669 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- et- Marne in the Île- de -France region; it belongs to Arrondissement Fontainebleau Canton and Moret -sur -Loing. The village lies on the right bank of the Seine, about 2 km upstream of the confluence of the River Loing and the Canal du Loing navigation canal.
The municipality was formed in 1971 through the merger of Vernou -sur -Seine and La Celle- sur -Seine (formerly La Celle- sous- Moret ). Districts of Vernou -la- Celle- sur -Seine La Basse Roche, La Celle, La Thurelle, Le Chesnoy, Le Montoir, Le Moulin des Serpes, Le Panorama and Marangis.
