Veronika Stallmaier

Veronika Wallinger, married stall Maier ( born July 30, 1966 in Sankt Koloman ) is a former Austrian alpine skier.

Biography

The two-time Junior World Champion in downhill (1983 and 1984) won in their first World Cup Downhill (Val d'Isere, December 1983) already her first World Cup points with 15th place. 14 months later, her in the departure of Arosa (January 1985) with second place behind Maria Walliser her first podium finish.

Veronika Wallinger was for ten years the strongest downhill runners. Although they achieved many podium finishes in the downhill and also a second place in the Super G Vail (1994 ), she could never win a race. At the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville in 1992 Wallinger went on the descent to third place. This was her greatest success.
