The 8.4 km long verse is with a catchment area of over 40 square kilometers, occupying the space of the natural Südwestarm Salzbödetal, by far the most important tributary of the Salzböde in Gladenbacher mountain country, Central Hesse.

Course

The source of the verse is located directly on the watershed between their mother river Salzböde and dill inflow Aar, which occupies the west adjacent natural area Niederweidbacher pool. Origin of the name

The Onomastiker Jürgen Udolph directs the stream name Verse of the Indo-European root * pers- for "to spray", " spray ", from. The verse would therefore be " the Sparkling " or "the end of injection ."
