Versailles is a village in Brown County in the western part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2000 it had 567 inhabitants.

Geography

The site covers an area of 2.3 km ² which consists almost exclusively of land area.

Versailles is located 11 km west of the Illinois River and 72 km east of the Mississippi River, which forms the border to Missouri.
