Veshnyaki District

Location of the district Weschnjaki

Weschnjaki (Russian Вешняки ) is a district in the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow, Russia. He arose from the historic villages Weschnjaki, Wladytschino and Kuskovo.

The district borders the following areas of Moscow: Nowogirejewo ( in the north), and Rjasanski Vykhino - Schulebino (in the south ) and Nowokossino in and Kossino - Ukhtomsky (in the east ).

History

Infrastructure

Apart from general education schools, evening classes, two music schools and two boarding schools, the Moscow Humanities University is the largest educational institution in Weschnjaki. Furthermore, there are other social institution such as kindergartens and libraries. Five outpatient clinics as well as the 15th city hospital ( Filatov Hospital ) are the inhabitants of disposal.

While numerous supermarkets, restaurants and small shops for provisions are present, there are in the town center, a shopping mall, a department store, a cinema enthusiast. From the metro station Vykhino there is a fruit and vegetable market, but its transfer is under discussion.

Traffic

In addition to numerous bus and Marschrutka lines, the trolley bus lines 30 and 64 run through the district. At the northern and southern edges are five railway stations ( Kuskovo and Nowogirejewo in the north and Pljuschtschewo, Weschnjaki and Vykhino in the south). The Tagansko - Krasnopresnenskaja Line of the Moscow Metro has with the station Vykhino the namesake train their current endpoint.

Green spaces and attractions

A large part of the district consists of the Tretyakov forest and the adjacent Raduga ponds along with green areas that attract visitors from other districts by Weschnjaki. For this reason, the air in Weschnjaki regarded as relatively clean. One reason for this is the fact that here are no large industrial enterprises.

The only outstanding attraction is the castle ensemble Kuskovo with its architecturally charming park. Many couples celebrate here, especially on weekends, their wedding. Also worth mentioning is the Church, which is located directly at the train stop Weschnjaki.
