Veve
A Veve is a graphic symbol that represents a voodoo spirit ( loa ) in a ritual.
Each Loa has its own Veve, which is unique to him. However, there are regional differences in voodoo and by different currents also quite different for the same Veve Loa.
Making a Veve
The Veve is usually created with dusty materials, such as crushed egg shells, corn flour, or just with chalk on the floor, but sometimes simply scratched with a stick in the sand or soil.
