Via Sacra

The Via Sacra ( German: Sacred Road ) was the main route of the Roman Forum. She led from the Capitol to the Coliseum.

In the 5th century BC, this path was removed by a base to protect against rain and moisture, further fortified during Nero's reign and later embellished with colonnades.

Thanks to recent excavations, we now know that the road BC was the late 6th century, three feet wide, had a plaster made of tufa slab and that a wide sewer below the road led to the Cloaca Maxima.

On and on the Via Sacra was so committed some crime and iniquity in Rome's history, solemn religious festivals celebrated, held tremendous triumphs of victorious generals, but also quite banal daily errands done in the crowd in the basilicas, talked and gossiped, diced, business is done and spoken right.
