Víðarr

Vidar (also Widar arrangement Vidarr - " the widely Ruling ", or assembled from the arrangement words víðr = forest and arr = warrior, . Thus " warriors of the forest .") Is in Norse mythology, a son of the god Odin and the giantess Grid and helps in sealing the nickname the silent Ase. He is the Aesir always a good support and the only one rushing of Loki's speeches in the hall Ägirs was spared. After Thor Vidar is the strongest Ase. In the end times battle Ragnarök he avenges his father Odin, by kicking the Fenris Wolf with a special leather shoe in the throat and rips him in half the mouth.

He is one of the few survivors of Ragnarök.

His domicile is now Landvidi ( " The Big Country " ) or even Vidi ( " width" ) and is overgrown with tall grass and bushes.
