Vico del Gargano
Vico del Gargano is a town with 7807 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in Italy. It is located in the province of Foggia, Puglia region and is attributed to the area of Gargano.
Geography
The urban area covers a total of 110 km ². The Foresta Umbra National Park is part of the urban area, as is the coastal town of San Menaio. This tourist place in summer is almost exclusively populated by travelers and virtually extinct in the winter.

Padre Pio, a now blessed spoken Catholic monk, was on his way to the monastery of Vico del Gargano, when he fell ill. Due to the circumstances, he settled in San Giovanni Rotondo and then initiated the construction of a hospital, which was supposed to be in Vico del Gargano.
