Victor Civita

Victor Civita ( born February 9, 1907 in New York; † August 24, 1990 in São Paulo ) was an Italian- American businessman, journalist and naturalized Brazilian. He was the founder of Editora Abril 1950, the largest printing and publishing company in Latin America.

His son Roberto Civita (1936-2013) was until his death president and editorial director of Grupo Abril.

Civita was different at that time from other business owners, by being present in their daily work with his staff. It is said that he attached himself at the start of his first magazine Pato Donald ( Donald Duck), Posters of the trams of São Paulo with the inscription: " Donald Duck 's there "
