Victor de Broglie (1756–1794)

Claude -Victor, prince de Broglie [ klod viktwaʀ pʀɛs də brɔj ] ( born September 22, 1756 in Paris, † June 27, 1794 ) was a French politician and general from the family of the Dukes de Broglie.

Life

Claude -Victor was the eldest son of Marshal Victor- François de Broglie. He fought for the independence of North America, 1789 was a deputy of the nobility of Kolmar and Schlettstadt in the States-General, joined the National Assembly, in which he vividly represented the cause of the revolution, and was used later in the Army of the Rhine.

When he was not adopted August 10, 1792 suspension of the king acknowledged he was first put out of action, then brought before the Revolutionary Tribunal and guillotined on 27 June in 1794.

Claude -Victor was married since 1779 with Countess Sophie von Rosen ( 1764-1828 ), with whom he had the following children:
