Victor de Laprade
Pierre Martin Victor Richard de Laprade ( born January 13, 1812 in Montbrison, † December 13, 1883 in Lyon) was a French poet.
Life and work
Victor de Laprade studied in Lyon jurisprudence and took the lawyer 's career. As a poet he first made itself known through the held in Lamartine's style Les parfums de Madeleine Poem (1839 ).
This was followed by the seals:

After he was appointed in 1858 a member of the Académie française, he published the following works of prose:

- Prolégomènes (1883 ) and the corresponding font
- Le sentiment de la nature chez les modern (1867 );

Laparde was considered by his countrymen as the successor of Lamartine. His monotone held seals are characterized by mysticism and idealism. He also made use of the satirical tone, so especially in the Poemes civiques (1873 ) and in the collection of poems Tribune et courtisans (1875 ). A collection of his ŒOuvres poétiques appeared 1878-1881 in 6 volumes.
From 1871 to 1873 Laprade belonged to a member of the right- center of the National Assembly of Versailles.
