Victor Hedman

Victor Erik Olof Hedman ( born December 18, 1990 in Örnsköldsvik ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defender, who plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League since 2009.

Career

Victor Hedman began his career in 2005 in the U18 youth team of MODO Hockey. Having already scored three goals and three assists in eight games, he was appointed at the age of just 14 years to the U20 Juniors, where he played a further ten games. In the following season 2006/ 07 he played at the beginning again for the U18 team, but established himself in the course of the season as a regular player in the higher age group. With 25 points in 34 games, he was one of the best scorer among the defenders and led all players with 13 goals to his position.

In the 2007 /08 season he played only a few games at the junior and was the 16 -year-old made ​​his debut in the first team MoDo Hockey in the Elitserien. Hedman spent almost the entire season in the seniors sat through as a regular player and played 39 games.

Family

His two older brothers Oscar and Johan Hedman are also professional hockey players and also play on the defender position. Johan Hedman, the oldest brother, currently playing in the French second division.
