Victor Margueritte

Victor Margueritte ( born December 1, 1866 in Blida, Algeria, † March 23, 1942 in Monestier, Allier, France) was a French writer.

His brother was the writer Paul Margueritte (1860-1918), his father was the General Jean Auguste Margueritte ( 1823-1870 ). Margueritte worked closely with his brother.

He wrote several theater " charades " and created with his brother the pantomime La peur. His novella La Garçonne 1922 was felt to be so shocking that he was discharged from the Légion d' honneur.
