Víctor Rubén López

Víctor Rubén López ( born December 19, 1978 in Córdoba) is an Argentine footballer who plays in the Spanish Segunda División plays at Real Sociedad.

Playing career

Víctor López began his career as a football player in his native Argentina during unterklassigen Racing de Córdoba. This he left in 2000 and moved to first division CA Talleres. There he was in the following seasons, a major player in the defense, but he could not avoid relegation of his team in 2004. He then went to league rivals Arsenal de Sarandi, where he played the next two years. There he was able to prevail, which attracted the interest of European clubs at him. In January 2007 he finally signed a contract with the relegation-threatened Spanish side Real Sociedad. He made his debut in the 0-1 against Valencia on January 21, 2007. Again Víctor López had suffered a decline, but this time he followed his team in League 2, where he achieved his first competitive game goal for the Basques. On November 11, 2007, he met with a 1-1 in the relegation duel vs. Celta Vigo for the interim leadership. In 2008 he moved back to his home country of Argentina to CA Banfield.
