Victoria Principal

Victoria Principal ( born January 3, 1950 in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan ) is an American actress and author.

Life

She was born as the elder of two daughters of the American Air Force sergeant Victor Principal and his wife Bertha Ree Veal. She is Italian, English and Filipino origin. Due to the frequently changing locations of her father, she grew up among others in London, Florida, Puerto Rico, Massachusetts and Georgia. At the age of five she had the first time with in a commercial. During her high school years she became a photo model, elected at age 19 as "Miss Miami ". Then she went to New York where she worked as a model and actress. In 1970, she posed nude for Playboy.

In the early 1980s, the Principal had a relationship with singer Andy Gibb. In 1985, she married the well-known American plastic surgeon Harry Glassman. They were divorced in December 2006.

Film career

Her first film role was Victoria Principal in 1972 in John Huston's film That was Roy Bean (The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean ) on the side of Paul Newman and Anthony Perkins. She brought her an instant a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Young Actress. In 1973, The Naked Ape in which they occurred without above. The big breakthrough came in 1974 earthquake ( Earthquake ). After another small roles she played from 1978 to 1987 " Pamela Barnes Ewing " in the television series Dallas.

In 1994, she had another guest appearance as " Les Thompson " in Listen, Home Improvement.
