Victoria Salmon Kings

The Victoria Salmon Kings were a Canadian ice hockey team from Victoria, British Columbia. The team played from 2004 to 2011 in the ECHL.

History

The franchise of the Baton Rouge Kingfish from the ECHL in 2003 was inactive. A year later bought Canadian business franchise and moved it to Victoria, British Columbia, to where it participated under the name Victoria Salmon Kings from the 2004/05 season in the game operation of the ECHL. Was made possible relocation for the Salmon Kings, who were the first Canadian team in the ECHL, by the construction of the modern Save-On - Foods Memorial Centre, Victoria Memorial Arena replaced the obsolete. From lockout in the National Hockey League, the Salmon Kings profited in their debut season, as they were thus the possibility of three players to oblige you with NHL experience with Dale Purinton, Dan Blackburn and Mark Smith.
