Victorias

The city of Victoria, also known as Victoria City, located in the northeast of the island of Negros, in the province of Negros Occidental. It is a city of the fourth income class in the Philippines.

It lived according to the census of 1 May 2010 in the city of 88 299 people. The city has a total of 26 barangays that have a numeric naming. The city of Victoria covers an area of ​​13,392 hectares. Through the city flows the river Malihaw. The first settlement area was also called Malihaw and was first mentioned in 1850.

It is a young city, it was only on 11 February 1998 the city was chartered, basis for this was the Republic Act 8488, the then President of the Philippines Fidel V. Ramos signed.
