Vida Arena

Vida Arena is a multi-purpose sports hall in the Swedish city of Växjö which acts as the home arena of the ice hockey club Växjö Lakers Hockey. The arena was completed in late summer 2011 and opened on 17 September 2011. It is part of a larger sports complex site ( Staden Arena ), which includes, among other things, a football stadium and two halls for athletics and floorball.

As namesake of the Swedish forestry group Vida Group, the rights in September 2010 for 14 years secured functions.

In addition to sports events at the Arena on February 4, 2012, a part of the competition Melodifestivalen, the Swedish Commission for contribution to Euro Vision Song Contest, held.

The arena is connected by a training hall with an older ice rink. The façade shows a attached to the thin sheet metal cover LED lighting for an ever-changing play of colors makes.

The building is 100 m long, 70 m wide and 20 m high. For the culinary supply there is a restaurant with 250 seats, five bars and six snack bars. Furthermore, there is a lounge with 400 seats for business, conference rooms, 27 boxes for 8 to 12 people, a television studio, a fitness center and administrative offices. The garage has 80 vehicles space.
