Vidauban

Fréjus is a commune with 10,608 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Var department in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

Geography

Fréjus is situated on the banks of the Argens and its tributary Aille.

Population

Since the early 1980s Fréjus has experienced strong population growth. Within 20 years, the population increased to more than double.

Personalities

The French historian Henri Michel (1907-1986) was born in Fréjus. The primary school of the village bears his name.
