Vidigulfo

Vidigulfo is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 6002 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Pavia in Lombardy. The municipality is situated approximately 13 kilometers north-east of Pavia and about 20 km south-southeast of Milan between Lambro and Olona. Vidigulfo borders the province of Milan.

History

End of the 8th century appears Vicus Lodulfi (later Vigudulfium ), which comes under the rule of the Counts of Pavia soon. The remaining districts ( Cavagnera, Mandrino, Pontelungo and Vairano ) were incorporated in the 19th century.

Economy

In Vairano guests since 1995 a race track ( the Autodromo di Vairano ), which is used in particular by the Italian magazine Quattroruote for testing purposes.

Districts

Within the area adjacent to the main town of the fractions Cavagnera, Pontelungo and Vairano, as well as the residential places Bichignana, Cascina Cavallera, Cascina Pasquala, Torre and Vallombrosa.
