Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan (Tamil: வித்யா பாலன், Hindi: विद्या बालन, Vidya Balan, born January 1, 1978 in Palakkad, Kerala ) is an Indian Bollywood actress and lives in Mumbai, India.
Life and work
Vidya Balan was born to PR Balan, the Vice-President of ETC Channel and a Tamil housewife in Palakkad, Kerala, but grew up in Mumbai, where she the St. Anthony 's Girls High School and later St. Xavier's College, University of Mumbai visited. The gifted student and spoke, among other things, Tamil, Malayalam, English, Hindi, and Bengali dominated their college degree made in sociology.
Vidya Balan should be in the Malayalam film Chakram play, but the film was canceled during production. Then she turned to television and made advertising. Since 1998, she has already done a lot of commercials. Directed by Pradeep Sarkar led mostly. Vidya also took supporting roles in music videos.
In 2005, she appeared in two films in the Bengali film, Bhalo Theko (2003) and - her debut in Bollywood - in Parineeta ( 2005). The latter film was very successful and many well-known directors offered her roles in their films. Her next Bollywood film Lage Raho Munna Bhai with Sanjay Dutt was a big hit.
2013 she was appointed to the jury of the 66th International Film Festival of Cannes.
