Vielank

Vielank is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Doemitz - Malliß with headquarters in the city Doemitz.

The municipality includes the districts Vielank Alt Jabel, High Woo, Laupin, New Jabel, Tewswoos, Vielank, Woosmer and the settlement Woosmerhof. The formerly independent communities Tewswoos and Woosmer were incorporated on 13 June 2004 in the town Vielank.

Geography

The community is located within the Natural Park Vielank Mecklenburgisches Elbe Valley on the southwestern edge of semolina area. In the southwest of the town adjacent to the Lower Saxony Amt Neuhaus. Through the municipal area the Rögnitz flows in a northwesterly direction tions brews.

History

The first mention Vielanks dates from the year 1421st The districts Alt Jabel and High Woos were mentioned already in 1291, the settlement was established in 1277 as a farm Woosmerhof. About Tewswoos there is no early historical evidence, presumably the village was founded around 1456. The youngest district 's new Jabel (1823 /24).
