Vignir Svavarsson ( born June 20, 1980 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player.
Career
His career began Vignir Svavarsson the Icelandic club Haukar Hafnarfjörður. He then moved to the Danish club Skjern Håndbold.
From 1 July 2008, the Icelandic national team played in the Handball - Bundesliga TBV Lemgo. The 1.96 m wide and 106 -pound pivot player is a professional handball pro. From the 2010/11 season played Vignir Svavarsson for TSV Hannover -Burgdorf. In the summer of 2012, he joined the newly promoted Bundesliga GWD Minden. From the 2014/15 season he is the Danish first division club HC Midtjylland under contract.
In summer 2012, he participated in the Olympic Games in London.
