Vigo Airport ( VGO IATA code, ICAO code LEVX, gal Aeroporto de Vigo, Spanish Aeropuerto de Vigo) is a commercial airport in Galicia (Spain ) in the far northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. It is located 9 kilometers east from the town center of Vigo, near the communities Redondela and Mos Vigo and was formerly known as Aeropuerto de and Vigo or short Aeropuerto de Peinador.

Approach

The airport is 25 km away from border with Portugal in the south on the Autovia del Atlantico (A -55) and Autopista del Atlantico (AP -9), which continues north towards Pontevedra, be reached quickly. From Ourense in the East comes the Autovia de las Rias Baixas (A -52), which further leads to the center of Vigo. About the new bypass highway VG -20 in the south of Vigo to get faster in the west of the city.
