Vik (also called Vik i Sogn ) is a town and municipality og Fjordane in Norway's Sogn. It is located approximately in the middle of the Sognefjord on the south side and on the east by Aurland, in the south of Voss and Vaksdal and to the west by modal and Høyanger. On the other side of the fjord are Balestrand, Leikanger, Sogndal and Laerdal.
The community consists of five villages: Vikøyri with 1085 inhabitants ( as of 2008) the largest town and administrative center of the municipality. Other towns are Arnafjord, Vangsnes, Fejos and Fresvik.

Especially milk production, lamb production and the cultivation of raspberries.
Industry
Energy production through hydropower. In Viks hydropower plants about 900 gigawatt hours produced.
Equipment for road security, steel or aluminum plates, street signs, equipment for cold room and facade cladding.
In a dairy farm in the village center, the famous cheese Gamalost is made.
Tourism
The region around Vik is very popular with walkers and anglers.
