Vikingarnas FK

Vikingarnas FK was a Swedish football club based in Stockholm. The beginning of the 20th century briefly existing team was composed of players from several other clubs.

History

Vikingarnas FK founded in 1908 as a team, playing together in the player of the few Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna associated clubs. Under the guidance of Anton Johanson, a football pioneer in Sweden, the team first appeared in friendly matches and denied for this purpose a tour in the Netherlands. 1910, the club on the debut season of the series Svenska, one of the first ausgetragenenen League form competition in Sweden. There the team ended after four wins in 14 games in sixth place. Shortly after the start of the following season she withdrew together with IFK Eskilstuna from the game because of a new rule, only teams with players of a club were admitted. The two were replaced by Göteborgs FF and Mariebergs IK. Presumably, the team broke up then.

Venue of the home matches of the club was the Råsunda IP. On the square in 1912 found instead the games of the football competition at the Olympic Games in 1912, in 1937 there the Swedish National Stadium Råsunda was built.
