Viktor Klima

Viktor Klima ( born June 4, 1947 in Schwechat near Vienna) is an Austrian manager and former politician ( SPÖ). From 1997 to 2000, he served as Chancellor of Austria and SPÖ chairman.

Life

Even in his school days, Viktor was a member of various air- social democratic youth organizations. He worked from 1969 at the ÖMV, where he joined the board in 1990. Part-time he studied business and economics computer science and graduated in 1981 with a Master 's degree. In April 1992, Chancellor Franz Vranitzky took air as Minister for Public Economy and Transport in his government, he was Minister of Finance in 1996. After Vranitzky's resignation in January 1997, he followed this in the functions as SPÖ party chairman and Chancellor.

In 1999 the SPÖ from the general election, despite strong losses as voting strongest party. Since the SPÖ strictly demarcated from the FPÖ of Jörg Haider since taking over the party presidency, the ÖVP was the only possible coalition partners ( with the Greens, there was no majority mandate ). After the failure of the negotiations with the People's Party under the chairman Wolfgang bowl latter eventually became Chancellor in a coalition with the FPÖ.

Air then left the Austrian policy and forwards since October 2000 for the VW Group, the South African subsidiary, Volkswagen Argentina SA with plants in General Pacheco ( Buenos Aires ) and Cordoba. He was also an advisor to the former President of Argentina Néstor Kirchner, due to its political and economic experience.

Since heart surgery in 2009, he has changed his life. He lives away 4-9 years of age approximately one hour from Buenos Aires, where he owns a farm with 240 hectares of land and 200 cattle with his third wife and three children. From his first marriage he has a son and a daughter.
