Viktor Pfeifer

Viktor Pfeifer ( born May 16, 1987 in Graz, Styria ) is an Austrian figure skater who starts in a single run.

Career

Pfeifer, whose family when he was one year old moved to Feldkirch (Vorarlberg), began at the age of nine with the figure skating. He also began in childhood with playing the cello and attended a music conservatory before he opted for figure skating. He won all the Austrian league title: students, youth twice, three times, as well as juniors with 15 years of the first national title in the general class. It was followed by seven more titles in the years 2005 to 2006 and 2009 to 2013.

At age 17, Piper gave in 2005 his international debut at the World and European Championships and finished it on the 23 or 18th place. At the Junior World Championships in the same year he was twelfth.

2006 Piper was nominated as the youngest athlete in the Austrian team for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. At his Olympic debut, he finished 22nd place. His second Olympics he finished 2010 in Vancouver on the 21th Place.

At the European Championships in 2013 Piper managed with eighth place his best result at European Championships. He improved while his personal Gesamtbestleistung to 194.77 points.

Pfeifer trained since 2006 in Newark, Delaware with Priscilla Hill and studied business administration in Wilmington.
