Vilém Dušan Lambl

Vilém Dušan Lambl ( born December 5, 1824 in Letiny, Bohemia, † February 12, 1895 in Warsaw) was Bohemian doctor. According to him and Alfred Mathieu Giard is Giardia lamblia, the causative agent of giardiasis, named.

Life

Lambl doctorate in Prague as a doctor of medicine. From 1848 to 1854 he traveled to the Balkans and dealt mainly with Slavic languages. He then worked at the Children's Hospital in Prague until 1860 he was appointed professor at the University of Kharkov (Ukraine).
