Villa del Conte

Villa del Conte is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5523 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Padua in Veneto. The municipality is situated approximately 19 km north of Padua on Tergola.

History

The first written mention dates back to 1085, where the monastery of Santa Eufemia Villanova large estates were given. The monastery was located in what is now the district of Abbazia Pisani. The Church of St. Maximus in the small village of Borghetto dates from the 10th/11th. Century.

Traffic

In Villa del Conte is a train station on the route from Padua to Bassano del Grappa.
