Villars-sur-Ollon

Villars -sur -Ollon is a winter and summer resort in the political community Ollon, Canton of Vaud in Switzerland with 1245 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011).

The town is located 1,300 m above sea level. M. and 900 meters above the Rhône valley in the Chablais region.

Villars is accessible by road from Ollon and Bex in the Rhone Valley and connected since 1901 with the Bex -Villars -Bretaye train on the rail network. Over the Col de la Croix is a direct road link to Les Diablerets, which is only open in the summer months.

The Hockey Club Villars HC in 1963 and 1964 two-time Swiss champion.
