Ville-en-Sallaz

Ville-en -Sallaz is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Geography

Ville-en -Sallaz is located on 641 m above sea level. M., 22 km east-southeast of the city of Geneva (air line). The village extends Faucigny, on a sun-exposed south-facing slope at the foot of the Massif des Brasses, in the Savoy Alps, slightly above the Lac de Môle.

The area of ​​3.37 km ² municipal area comprises a portion of Faucigny. The southern part of the municipal area is occupied by the broad Talniederung between the Massif des Brasses and the Môle, in the Lac de Môle located. This Talniederung drained west to Foron, a side stream of Menoge. A very narrow tip extends westward almost to Foron. History

Various traces indicate that the municipality of Ville-en -Sallaz was inhabited in Roman times. In the Middle Ages Ville-en -Sallaz belonged to the field of rule Faucigny.
